My final reflection about

my Google blogger and Google site

In this blog as a project, I learnt many things from this blogger. Blogger is an important tool for me because it helps me by sharing my thinking and ideas with my teacher, friends and my family. Blogger it a simple tool that it makes easy to post paragraphs, photos and videos. I have Google account so I can easy entre to Google blogger. In this reflection, I will talk about my Google blog which called baby cappuccino and my Google Site which called Google space and how I have been use them and how they helped me in my life.

First of all, in this semester, currently I am studying Management Information System (MIS) as one of the required courses to graduate. Google blogger and Google site are helped me a lot in my study, because using Google blogger helped me to organize my work and to manage my time. I think that it is nice to show my reflections about my different projects and work in my study at DWC to my friends and family specially my husband. Moreover, Google blogger helped me to improve my IT skills because I never know about blogs and bloggers. Furthermore, Google site project helped and encouraged me to use different Google tools such as calendar, document, Gmail, Google map and many more. In my Google space, I used one of the Google tools (that is Google Sites) to demonstrate of how I use other Google tools. I believe that the two project Google blogs and Google site are very useful tools, so I learnt many important and interesting things. I hope every student happy to do those projects.

(Mock interview- CV- COVER LETTER)

A job interview is very important today, everybody should have a CV. As a last year student at DWC, we have a work placement for the second semester, but in this semester we should prepare our CV and send a cover letter to the company that we chose for next semester. In this semester we have ENG 310 course, Mr. Karl educated us about how we write our CV in the right way, and he helped us a lot when we write the cover letter. In this essay, I will talk about my CV and how I wrote it, although I will talk about Mock interview exam.

First of all, as you know we should have a CV because we have work placement in the second semester as I mentioned before. I wrote my CV and it was includes many things about me because we have a mock interview exam. In this exam, two teachers asked me about my skills and about my Education, Achievements, Work Experience, Interests, and Communication skills. I did Mock Interview and the two teachers asked me little about myself and what courses did I most enjoy at college? Why, what led me to select your major? Are you an organized person?, and other questions and it took for me only 15 minutes.

In conclusion, I think that CV and Mock Interview were very important to me, because it improved my skills in speaking, writing, and also my communication skills. In my point of view, that DWC should do more practices for its students to develop their skills and to be easy for them to find a good job.

From this semester, as we study MIS we had classes about how we can learn and use Google tools. Google tools are very important tools for me and also for everybody. Google word is the most things that I have been using in my study at DWC especially in this year.

First of all, I always using a normal calendar in my mobile or my personal laptop, because I need it to reminder me about my essential appointments, submission of my projects and when I have some important notes. Moreover, Google calendar help me a lot and it is saved my time and also my effort, so it is a free service. Furthermore, I have some reasons that make me using Google calendar, the first reason that it helped me to organize my works with my groups by organizing my schedule and by sharing my schedule with my collogues, because it let my friends see my calendar viewing our projects schedule. What’s more, I can Access my Google calendar from my Black Berry phone also Nokia Phone so it makes my life much easy and it helped to remember my important events that I had.

In conclusion, I believe that Google Calendar is very important for me because I always used it for my projects deadlines and submissions. I think that it helped me a lot when it shared the times to my friends. In my point of view, Google Calendar it will help me a lot in my wedding equipment. I hope that everybody try using Google Calendar.

Fly Dubai

In this semester, as marketing students we have a project which called a marketing research project. As we students we are required to find suitable customers for the company that we chose. The results of this research help the client to make business decisions about the company. We have to choose a start-up company facing some problems or a company that is interested in launching new product.

First of all, my groups have been chosen Fly Dubai as a company of this project. The first step we did a secondary research about Fly Dubai following three steps: Defining our research objectives, collecting enough information and Analyzing and reporting the information. After that we interviewed two members of Fly Dubai. Moreover, we talked about general information of Fly Dubai that included Number of travelers to Dubai and out of Dubai (Average) and the Nationalities of those travelers and in which seasons the number of passengers increase. Furthermore, we mentioned about Fly Dubai Competitor and the we Analyses getting the number of passengers we concluded the *industry trend*,the Nationalities of travelers, number of destinations, Services and facilities, the Prices and the type of airplanes.

In conclusion, I believe that I developed my communication and research skill from marketing research project. I think that I gained experience from the members of Fly Dubai. I hope that we will help Fly Dubai to find what their customers’ needs and wants from it.

Branding, Packaging, and Merchandising

In this semester, as a marketing student I have a project that I should to explain one or more about essential marketing communication. My colleague Zahra and I we chose a nice subject which was about Branding, Packaging, and Merchandising.

First of all, we made a fabulous and creative presentation about this topic. Moreover, our objective: that after reading about this topic we must be able to explain the role of improvement of products, also the main issues around the improvement of a brand name for products. Moreover, we described some roles of the sales force in merchandising and explained those roles such as in promoting sales, also we described the roles of colors and packaging designs. Furthermore, we defined the meaning of Branding, Packaging, and Merchandising, also the advantages and disadvantages of each topic.

Finally, I think that project was a fantastic topic. I believe that I gained experience about the market in the UAE and around the world. So I think that developed my knowledge of the different markets in Dubai. I hope that project helped everybody in my class to raise their global knowledge about Branding, Packaging, and Merchandising.

Better Homes

As you know, as a DWC last year student I have many projects and works to do this year, so in my current study I have English 310 subject, so It was a fabulous project. In This project, I have to do research on a local company in Dubai or in the UAE using the internet, so my group and I have to visit this organization to interview certain employee to collect more information about it which that including their publications and brochures. Also, we have to choice a private company not semi-government or government, so we chose Better Homes as a company for this project. In this essay, I’d like to talk and to explain about Better Homes.

First of all, Better Homes is a big company in Dubai also is one of the oldest companies in the UAE, It was founded in 1986 by a woman by Linda Mahoney, it has grown in to 700+ workforces and lunched 10 division and 30 offices. BETTER HOMES is also as a member in Dubai Property group and it is a real estate property. Moreover, BETTER HOMES has many activities. For example, Residential Sales and Leasing, Commercial Sales and Leasing, Short-term Rentals, Currency exchange, Insurances, mortgages, home furnishing and Property Management rent collection and also lease management.

In conclusion, I believe that company project was an important project for me and my group. I learnt many things such as I enhanced some skills like listening, reading, writing and speaking. Also I gained written communication using emails by writing professional faxes and a thank you emails. I think that it was a good experience for me.

ENG 310- ACADEMIC PREPARATIONS

Nowadays, English language is very important to make our life much easier and flexible. As a DWC student I must be expert in English such as I should know read and write in English. English language is the language of computers, internet and most of the companies and banks in the UAE and around the world.

First of all, in this semester we should go to the DWC library and I have to choose at least two articles which related to Business that I interested in from the magazines or books and summarized the articles. For example, I can choose and use some references such as Harvard Business News and also Gulf Business News are two nice and excellent examples of magazines and books to use. Moreover, the articles that I have been chosen should be at least 500 words long. Although, I can choose two online articles, so I preferred online articles because I didn’t have time to go to the library. To tell you the truth, I chose two online articles by using Google tools. Furthermore, the first article that I chose about flies Dubai and their activities at Dubai Air Show 2009, and the second article was about Luxury car and how the global economic effect on the car loans.

In conclusion, I think that my writing and reading skills were improved from reading articles and summarized the articles that when I wrote at least 150 words also when I wrote 50 words as my reflection about the articles. I hope to develop my skills in English. I believe that activities support our English language.
